Kimber is a big, true 16 hand, gorgeous black Percheron Cross looking for a wonderful home. She is a showstopper of a horse; absolutely beautiful. Trained as a pleasure horse, she has a wide range of talent that could be utilized in a variety of disciplines. She would be ideal for someone wanting to show or just ride the trails. She would do well in beginning dressage, equitation, and any pleasure class. She does well on trails and is THE horse I put beginners on, although she can do much more than that. She has been ridden on the beach by 1st time riders as well as my young children walk/trot her in the arena. Kimber is attentive and willing to learn, not flighty or spooky, but has energy to move. She does well with a gentle, but firm rider with positive reinforcement techniques. In the arena, she collects herself nicely and has a lovely walk, trot, canter, lead changes, side passes, and lateral movements. Perfect health. She has never had any episodes of colic or any other health problem. She is up to date on vaccinations, floating, and deworming. She is currently barefoot, but will be getting shoes for the summertime. She will ride alone or in a group (although, put a red ribbon on this one's tail, she can be sassy to other horses). She loads, ties, bathes, clips.... not afraid of anything. She has had 2 unsuccessful breedings, but cycles regularly and vet says she should be able to carry a foal. I have a contract for a cover from a Friesian stallion that is an option for future buyer, should they want to try. I'm happy to order a PPE at Buyer's expense.
