Golden palomino, a blast to ride, and super sweet in the barn—those are the best ways to describe the horse we call Cheddar! He’s a 2019 registered AQHA gelding, standing 14.3 hands tall and weighing 1,050 lbs. He is sired by the great ARC GUNNABEABIGSTAR, a direct son of the legendary GUNNATRASHYA, and out of a mare named NITA SOME SMARTS, who traces back to the great stud SMART SPOOK. Cheddar has been in our program for two years and has been an absolute joy. We’re confident you’ll enjoy him just as much as we have! His loving and sweet personality around the barn is one of our favorite things about him. Add to that his stunning golden palomino color and a pedigree that speaks for itself. He’s a beautiful mover and will excel in the ranch riding show ring. His extended trot and smooth, easy lope make him a standout in any ranch class. He also knows all the reining maneuvers—from spins to sliding stops to lead changes—making him even more fun to ride! Over the past two years, he’s had extensive outdoor experience, including trail riding, ranch work, gathering, roping, doctoring cattle, and riding through feedlots. Along with his solid arena training, he’s been exposed to just about everything you can imagine. Cheddar loads and travels easily and settles into new places without a problem. He’s easy and fun to ride, with enough athletic ability for an advanced rider to enjoy, yet quiet and simple enough for a novice to feel confident on.
