Rune is a 12-year-old (vet-aged) Dutch-bred horse. He is around 15 hands. He's a good-looking boy and a very lovely mover. He's a trail machine and doesn't mind arena work, pops over jumps, etc. Super easy keeper with strong healthy feet (barefoot) and a nice shiny coat. He benefits from consistent work but won't pull any silly business if he's not getting it. Pros - Traffic Safe - Not spooky, never bucked or reared under saddle, not a cribber - Forwardish ride in the arena, mellow on trails - great for water crossings, bridges, etc - Picks his rider up at the mounting block - Stays fat on air - Perfect feet, barefoot - Beautiful gates - it feels like you are floating when riding him, and when he sets his head, it's the best ride - He loves the vet, chiropractor, body worker, farrier - I had a pre-purchase exam on him in December 2024 and can share it Cons - He's become a bit defensive in his stall - he can pin his ears and act like he is going to bite. He needs someone who will laugh at it and work with him, IF he does this at his new home. We are currently working on it! - He can paw in the cross ties when he isn't getting enough attention (inconsistent) He's currently boarded in Four Oaks NC. He's been to hunter shows before I purchased him, schooled cross country, etc.
