Starr is being offered as a broodmare (maiden) and a trail riding prospect. Starr came to us as a surrendered horse. She has never been started under saddle, but after months of ground manners training, we see no reason why Starr couldn't be started under saddle. Seeing the progress made during her training time, I believe that with the right person, Starr will continue to overcome her trust issues and can be safely started under saddle. Again, Starr is not "bad." She has been frightened and reacts nervously because of things that have been done to her before we welcomed her to our farm. For instance, when Starr arrived at the training facility, she was frightened of the poop fork and wheelbarrow. She became wide-eyed and would shake. Starr had no regard for safe, personal space. However, after eight weeks of training six days a week with someone quiet, kind, and consistent, Starr has gone from shy and fearful to cuddly and well-mannered.
