Lemondrop is a wonderful family-sized mare standing at 14.2 hands. Originally purchased with the intention of breeding to our shire stallion, her height was significantly overestimated when we bought her this spring. When she arrived looking noticeably shorter, we decided to start her on a riding program instead.
My 11-year-old has ridden her off and on, and I’ve done most of her training. Lemondrop is soft in the bridle, can side pass, and lopes off willingly. She’s also good with the vet and farrier.
She’s been to a few fun shows and handled everything confidently. We believe she would make an excellent 4-H or gaming prospect for someone interested in those activities.
Lemondrop is good on trails, traffic-safe, and does well both in group settings and alone. She’s a fun, friendly mare perfect for someone looking to enjoy riding this summer!
