I am looking for a companion horse for a middle aged appendix gelding. My only requirements are that the horse be an easy keeper, be very sweet/gentle/easy to work with (especially for farrier), and have no overly complicated ongoing maintenance/health issues. We offer a 2 acre pasture with sturdy, safe, and secure fencing with a very large and clean run-in shed. Pasture is mostly grass, partially dry lot. 24/7 all you can mixed grass hay. 2 or more grain meals per day as needed. Owners are on site nearly 24/7. The only job our horses have are to be loved on and cared for….and helping mow the grass of course. If you are parting with a beloved older horse or know a retiree in need of a soft landing, please let me know. I am happy to consider adopting just about anything that fits the criteria listed above. I am also willing to consider offering board for a retiree to the right person…reach out and we can discuss. I’m happy to include in the bill of sale a right of first refusal and notice requirement for prior owners for peace of mind. Please don’t hesitate to reach out…our current horse is lonely and in need of a new best buddy to grow old with. Thank you!
