Ralph was born and raised with us. Started as a 2 year old, inconsistently rode til he was 5, so still semi baby brained.
While Ralph has been used with us for ranch work, he is a beautiful mover and has potential to go the western/English dressage direction. He is a trail master and will go up, down and through anything you ask without fuss. He is incredibly surefooted!
Ralph has:
-brought cattle up the alley and ran them into the chute
-paired out at calving season
-used for branding
-gathered big country, will cross creeks and logs, will stretch out and cover some ground at a smooth trot/rocking horse lope and go all day.
- soft mouthed
-flag and 4 wheeler broke
- I wouldn’t promote him as a kids or beginner horse(yet), BUT we have put our 11 year old on him and the potential is there.
-On the ground he is very quiet, easy to catch, great for the farrier (size 3, hot or cold shoes, can go barefoot if your ground isn’t a rocky mess like ours), he will load and unload easily in any trailer, including our 2 horse straight load.
