All-Around Kids/Teens Horse
If you’re looking for a seasoned, versatile mare who has “been there, done that,” Sunny is your girl. She’s done everything from rodeos to trail rides, gymkhanas to cattle work, and she does it all with a steady attitude.
- Gymkhana & Barrel Horse -
* 4D Barrel Horse (~20/21 sec on a standard pattern)
* A/AA Gymkhana Horse
* Carries flags and has competed at jackpots and rodeos across the state
* Rodeo Queen’s horse—parade-ready, kid-safe in chaotic environments
- Trail & Ranch Horse -
* Safe for total beginners on trails—follows the group, no nonsense
* Will go solo confidently on trails
* Road safe—ridden through drive-thrus, tied up at breakfast
* Ponies other horses and can be ponied herself
* Pushes cattle, competes in team penning/sorting
* Can be roped off of

* Roped off of (breakaway), hauled to 1 breakaway jackpot
* Ridden English & jumps logs on the beach
* Rides Bareback, bridleless, and even double
* Ground ties and stands at gates
- Pros:
* No maintenance required
* Currently has two front shoes but likely can go barefoot
* Stands for the farrier
* Loads easily—will even ride into the trailer!
* Bombproof in parades—handles crowds, kids, and noise without spooking
- Vices:
* Mild head shy—she prefers the bridle put on a certain way (no brow band). This is workable and has improved before with consistent handling.
Sunny is the kind of horse you can do a little bit of everything on, from running barrels to pushing cattle to taking beginners down the trail. She’s well-traveled, reliable, and easy to be around.
