Amale is a 16 year old registered KMSHA mare (chocolate and flaxen). She is 14'3 hands and trail horse extraordinaire. She has been extensively ridden in Utah to Oregon beaches to the Cascade Mountains. She leads and follows on the trails as well as commonly rides solo. She is the fastest downhill horse we have ever ridden and is simply a blast to ride.
-Loads and trailers well.
-Use to night riding
-High ties while camping
-body clips
-Prefers being on pasture and is currently in a mixed herd with mares and geldings. This horse was not meant to be stalled.
-Very fast 4 beat gait and comfortable cantor. Amale will always chose to gait over loping.
-Sweet and mischievious disposition. If there is something she can get into she will.
-Needs a job or will be impatient!
-Has only been ridden by us in polyurethane shoes.
-Takes excellent care of herself on the trail ( eating and drinking).
-Intermediate rider and up- she will take advantage of a newbie. That being said- she is a very forward and a non complicated horse to ride. Amale prefers a balanced rider with soft hands.
-Amale will not be successful in a home with a rider who wants to walk a few miles a week out on the trail.
-Current on teeth- due in the fall.
-Coggins and vaccines due in the spring of 2026.
-PPE welcome at buyers expense.
We would really like this horse to go to a forever home. She does not fit into our breeding program due to her petite size and we are only keeping taller mares.
