“Russian Ekati” - 2021 TB Gelding, currently standing a smidge under 16.1. This horse has massive bone and body to him already, making him suitable for taller riders. He is unraced but did have two (painfully slow) recorded works, making him RRP eligible. Ekati was with some friends of ours before making his way here and was lightly restarted during that time, demonstrating an amateur friendly brain and no silly business. We have since sat on him at our place and included video from that ride below. He’s a fancy moving guy with one of the best canters I’ve sat on in a minute. SO comfortable! His brain is fantastic and is going to make him a confident amateur suitable candidate that could go a number of directions! We’ve let him settle into life at our place, currently he’s stalled during the day and out at night. He’s previously lived out 24/7 with another gelding and is happy stalled or out, alone or with others. Ekati is your typical goofy, sweet and kind gelding. He’s easy to get along with and nice to have in the barn. He stands well in the crossties, is good to bathe, shoe, etc. I was super excited for this guy to come in and after assessing him at liberty my expectations were far exceeded. Ekati is a lovely mover with lofty gaits, a ton of expression and presence. Additionally he was fantastic through the jump chute, smart, careful and athletic. He quickly figured out his way and by the end was marching down to a decently sized oxer without hesitation in good form. Ekati is an exciting prospect that could easily step into a number of rings. He has no vices / known injuries.
