This 11-year-old, KFPS registered 16H STER Friesian gelding checks every box: safe, seasoned, and stunning. Whether you're looking to get back in the dressage saddle, need a trustworthy mount to go down the trail, or prioritize a family safe mount for everyone to enjoy— Dante is the one.
Dante checks every box — and then some. He’s gentle, quiet, and truly family-safe — kid-friendly, granny-safe, and a steady confidence booster for riders of all levels. Whether you're hitting the trails, giving walk-trot lessons, or stepping into the dressage ring, Dante delivers with kindness, patience, and heart.
Imported from the Netherlands in 2020, Dante has a resume as impressive as his pedigree. He earned the prestigious STER predicate, awarded only to Friesians that demonstrate superior conformation, movement, and breed quality. Prior to import, he consistently scored in the upper 60s to 70s at 3rd Level Dressage, with three points in Z1, under numerous licensed judges across the Netherlands.
Versatility is one of Dante’s strongest assets! He is a proven dressage competitor with years of show and clinic experience both in the United States and Europe! Dante is broke to drive and has given his fair share of vaulting lessons! Dante LOVES to hit the trails - and trail rides like a dream with his quiet, confident, and unflappable brain. He is patient and forgiving for beginners, and has packed around kids + adults alike. Dante has proven to be the go-to horse for guests/family that come into town that want to have an out of this world riding experience on a beautiful Friesian!
Since arriving in the U.S., Dante has served as the perfect first dressage horse for his owner. He has been used in a lesson program on the side, and was leased out to an amateur riding who took lessons to strengthen her dressage skills. Together they’ve enjoyed clinics, garnered compliments on his quality of movement and forgiving nature, and built an unshakable bond. He’s currently schooling 2nd level with a solid foundation to step right back into 3rd level work.
Now, as his owner shifts her focus back to her reining roots, she’s ready to let Dante bring his magic to a new family. This incredibly kind gelding deserves a home where he can continue being the steady, confidence-building partner he’s always been — whether in the arena, on the trails, or simply as someone’s heart horse.
