Red arrived at our ranch in Spring 2021 ans has spent his time being semi-retired, enjoying camping & lots of leisure trail rides. He travels fantastic, camping: no problem at all & is eager to hit any trail. Has crossed creeks, rivers, been on the beach & crossed bridges. No problem with normal trail activity of walkers, dogs and the like. His spook is very minimal, never been a problem. Red's prior experience before us, was being ridden in the hills of Napa, CA by a 70 yr old man, & prior to that he was in N. Carolina as a Barrel Racing horse, which he RETIRED from. He enjoys the trails or a 'casual' ranch job. He has been roped off of, not sure if he has ever pulled a cow/calf, I would guess yes. Character/Traits: Red is a very stout built guy & gorgeous. He has no flaws, one blemish is a rope scar on his left hind, does not effect him at all. He is a finished, in the bridle horse, light as a feather in your hands & knows his ques! He has a big motor & is very athletic. I would recommend intermediate to advanced riders for this big guy, due to his big motor & knowledge of your seat, leg & hands. He rides in a shank bit w/ roller & neck reins nicely. He likes to go & definitely is a get down to business horse, likes having a job He has been ponied, can pony as well.
