Rosie is a sweet, 14 year old, 15.2 hand grade quarter horse mare. She's a lovely broodmare with a sweet temperament, and is now back under saddle after taking time off to raise her foal. She is best for advanced beginners and up. She walks, trots and lopes on command, but needs more encouragement for the lope. She has a nice smooth trot and stops easily. Rosie is great on trails out alone -- she loves to explore! She mounts from the ground or a block, and will stand quietly while mounting or whenever you ask; but, she is ready to move when you are. She is ridden primarily in a snaffle, but is ridden bareback and with a halter when she is turned out. Rosie has been used lightly as a lesson horse, and did well for advanced beginners. As a broodmare, Rosie is ideal -- she is an easy breeder, and can be preg checked without sedation of any sort. She foals without issue, and is a gentle, attentive mom. She allows handling immediately after foaling and is quiet in the stall. On the ground, Rosie is excellent for grooming, baths, fly spray, and farrier. She leads, loads, and ties with no issues. She is UTD on vaccines, deworming, farrier and teeth.
