We are so proud to offer Elite’s He’s a Hottie, affectionately known as “Hottie” to a new home. This handsome boy certainly lives up to his name and has been one of our favorites for years. Hottie has so many qualities that I love, but his mind is our favorite quality. I can’t tell you how many cold winter mornings I’ve thrown a leg over Hottie after he’s been sitting for weeks and he’s plodded off like he’s been under saddle for a lifetime. Or, how many times I’ve had him on the trail when a moment of chaos breaks out for one reason or another, and he’s stayed calm and collected. A solid mind is a quality that cannot be trained, and it is one of the many reasons that I have loved owning Hottie so much. Hottie is an absolutely spectacular-looking blue roan with no white markings. His roan coloring is bright, loud, and draws attention wherever he goes. He’s a horse that really stands out and draws people to him. Hottie is also an outlier from a build perspective for a Rocky. His build is strong, and he has a great presence about him. Hottie is registered Rocky Mountain with fantastic breeding. We purchased Hottie from a well-known Rocky breeder, Southern Elite Stables, as a yearling. He certainly did not disappoint. Both Hottie’s sire and dam were successful show horses. Hottie’s sire is the well-known Grand Champion stallion, Elite’s Rockstar. As far as movement goes, Hottie is very naturally gaited and smooth. He has multiple gears to his gaits. He can canter on both leads and is a lot of fun to ride. Hottie has been extensively ridden on the trail. We've ridden him all over southern Utah. In the winter, we tend to ride in the desert, and in the summer, we go to the mountains, so Hottie has experience in various types of terrain. He’s been packed on, high-lined, hobbled, and has done many overnight camping trips. He’s been exposed to a variety of different stimuli that you would expect to encounter on the trail, including wildlife, traffic, water, etc. Hottie has an outstanding handle. He neck reins, side passes, moves off your legs, stops on your seat, moves his shoulders and hindquarters on cue. He is light in the bridle and responsive to ride. If Hottie sounds like the horse you have been looking for, please feel free to give me a call. I’m happy to answer any questions that you may have to help gauge whether he may be the right fit for you. You’re also more than welcome to come meet and ride him! We look forward to pairing you with the horse of a lifetime! ** CONSIGNED to www.MyHorseConnection.com *
