Seymour is a talented, personable, and athletic gelding who bonds deeply with “his person.” He has shown promise in multiple disciplines, including jumpers, eventing, and barrels, and has even shown successfully in the hunters at Tryon. In the arena, Seymour is more “go” than “whoa,” making him best suited for an intermediate rider, though he has also been a reliable lesson horse for intermediate students. On the trails, he’s the complete opposite—relaxed, happy to ride on the buckle, and always willing to cross water and take in the scenery. Around the farm, Seymour is calm and confident, comfortable around donkeys, goats, cows, chickens, and even heavy equipment. He truly thrives in a setting where he can be part of the daily rhythm of the barn. Seymour is currently recovering from a minor suspensory ligament injury diagnosed in June. After two months of rest and rehab—including magnawave therapy, cold hosing, and ultrasounds confirming no major tears—he is healing beautifully and showing no signs of lameness. With continued rest, this affectionate and hardworking gelding has every chance to come back strong and continue his athletic career. For the right person, Seymour is truly a once-in-a-lifetime partner—athletic, affectionate, and full of heart.
