Meet Hamlet, a socky Quarter pony, who has been my daughter's 4H show pony and partner for the past 4 years (from 10-13 years old). He has been ridden English primarily but shown western the past 2 years and seems to love that. He excels in flat classes in western and english and trail classes. He has done jumping in her lessons throughout the past 3 years but is more comfortable on the flat. Jumping cross rails and cavellettis had been our focus when working on his jumping. He's competed in a lot of local shows in West Virginia but also has done Hunter Paces (in 2024 he was 2nd in the Junior Division). He has proven to be a blue-ribbon pony and LOVES showing. He will stand for hours at a show or at home. He will stand and wait for the rider anywhere. If a rider falls off, he just stops and stands. He's not afraid of water; he has been through numerous creeks and swam many times in our pond. He also did intermediate horse camp with my daughter for the past 3 years. He can be ridden bareback in arena and on trails or just hanging out around the farm with his rider. He has always gone barefoot at our place and is an easy keeper. This year she outgrew him and that's why he's for sale. He is not a lesson pony and doesn’t enjoy being tossed around by riders with different riding habits and personalities. He loves attention and is like a puppy. He has never had any serious injuries in our ownership. He is pretty good with loading but if you rush him he'll get anxious. He most likes a rider with a soft seat and giving hand. UTD on farrier, vaccines, coggins, deworming. He has wonderful manners in the barn and is easy to feed and maintain weight during any season. Test ride him at Bees Sporthorses LLC in Edinburg, VA with Erin Brogan.
