Taquito is a 4yo AQHA/APHA gelding who’s ready to finish his education with his new partner! Taquito is green-broke, and started on the barrel pattern. He’s been roped off of, and has been exposed to gunfire. Taquito is incredibly willing to please and eager to learn, even if he’s not the kind of horse to take the initiative himself. He’s incredibly gentle and in-your-pocket, and is always the first to meet you at the gate. Under saddle, he can still be a little jumpy when he’s first tacked up. There’s no malice behind it, he’s just having a good time. 10 minutes on the lunge line to work out the crow-hops seems to do the trick. He’s rock-solid at the trot, and has a ground-covering canter, though his transition needs a bit of work. His trot is floaty and stunning, he would make a phenomenal western-dressage horse! Currently riding in a loose ring snaffle. Hasn’t been exposed to cows but he loves to chase the geese. Barefoot and sound, no vices, and gets along great in a herd environment. He’s been turned out with mares, foals, geldings, and stallions and does great no matter who he’s with. Middle of the pack, does best with horses who match his energy and want to play/goof around. I’ll be very picky where he goes, he’s really an amazing horse and I love him to pieces. Unfortunately he’s just not my style under saddle, which is heartbreaking.
