“Stormy” is a 6 year old dun and white paint gelding standing at 14.3 hands tall. Whether your passion is English or Western - Stormy is ready for the next adventure! He loves to jump, work cattle, trail rides the best and travels through traffic without a spook! He is the coolest horse to have around and absolutely anyone will enjoy to ride!
In the arena, Stormy has 3 smooth and comfortable gaits. He moves beautifully under English tack and would make an excellent Hunter or Cross Country mount! Stormy is brave over jumps and very point and shoot!
On the trails, Stormy is safe, sure footed, confident and reliable! There isn’t much that excites this guy. He crosses water, over bridges, logs, railroad tracks, steep terrain - you name it! He has proven himself to be quiet and calm in high stress situations with heavy traffic! I have been hauling him all over and he is the same simple, calm gentleman anywhere we go! Stormy recently went with me on a 3 day camping trip to Love Valley, NC where we rode countless miles through all sorts of terrain and obstacles. We rode all over town with so much excitement going on - people, dogs, ATVs and SXSs everywhere and he never batted an eye! Stormy even patently waited and stood tied to the hitching post while we went into the saloon for a few drinks! If he was allowed in the bar, I know he would have stood right there beside me!
At home, Stormy is nothing but easy to get along with! Leave him turned out 24/7 or bring him in a stall - he doesn’t care. He’s not buddy sour and can be the only horse in the barn and you won’t hear a peep out of him! He is easy to catch when turned out, loads/unloads effortlessly, is easy to bathe, brush, clip, tack up, and is excellent for the vet and farrier! Stormy is quiet and gentle enough for children to groom and love on! He doesn’t mind dogs or children running around and stands quietly anywhere!
Stormy is a barn favorite here and has been well loved and taken care of. He sells with a recent health exam on file and is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, coggins and farrier!
