Nánd (aka Fjóla) is a stunning extremely well bred mare here with us on consignment. Nánd was impoted from Iceland about two years ago and had a beautiful double creme filly in June 2024. She was a wonderful mother and has great potential to continue life as a broodmare. After weaning her filly she has been in training and getting used to life as a riding horse in the US. Nánd is extremely well bred. Her father Skaginn is a very well known and highly evaluated son of the famous Álfur frá Selfossi. Nánd herself is a beautiful mare with a calm demeanor and endearing expression. She is five gaited and while the pace is not yet developed, it shows potential to be excellent. Her gaits are clear and well seperated and she continues to gain experience both in the ring and on the trail. Nánd is not super forward but is happy to go and has nice speed range in all her gaits with super fun fast tempo tolt. Nánd has the potential to be a nice competition horse, hit the trails or be an amazing addition to a breeding program. She is priced to sell and a good home is a must!
