Meet Tucker! He is an adorable bay gelding, approximately 15 years old, and 13 hands tall. Goes barefoot, rides in a hackamore or a bit. Through no fault of his own, Tucker is looking for his next partner/family. Tucker came to us primarily being ridden Western with lots of trail riding experience, but minimal arena work experience. At the time, he had been sitting for approximately 9 months doing minimal. In the last 3 years he has been apart of our barn community, he has been exposed to dressage, jumping, more trail riding, mounted games, beach riding, and mounted archery. We have even dressed him up for Halloween and ridden through our local neighborhoods with other horses from our barn. Tucker is the type of pony that wants to do the right thing and really learn. It has been clear to us that someone in his past was not very patient with him. As a result, he can be a little defensive and sensitive at times, but overall wants to understand, learn, and please. In hand he is a pocket pony and is comforted by close proximity. He loves his people and gains confidence from his people on the ground. At times under saddle he can be a little tense, but generally is not spooky. He has been used as a lesson pony for the last 2 years. With the right person or situation, I could see Tucker doing very well in therapeutic riding, working equitation, mounted archery, dressage, jumping, eventing, competitive trail riding, etc. Currently, my 6 year old daughter and my 13 year old student ride him. Message for more information and videos. Negotiable on price for the right situation.
