Gabriel is a very gentle, well-built 7 year old, 15.2 hand quarter draft cross gelding. This handsome blue roan is the perfect combination of a sturdy calm draft horse with substance and big healthy feet paired with the athleticism and responsiveness to your hand and leg cues that you get with most quarter horses. Gabriel is well trained and is user-friendly to operate. He rides nice and easy with a willing, uncomplicated attitude and a smooth way of going. In the arena, Gabe will have an easy one hand, neck rein. He will hold collection, back soft and side passes with cadence and ease. He has a comfortable jog and will lope out on cue. Takes his leads and has a good stop. Gabe is outstanding to ride out anywhere from busy urban streets to rugged Mountain trails. He has lots of ranch work experience with gathering cattle and ranch roping. When riding around the neighborhood, Gabe is confident and settled about everything we encounter. From charging barking dogs to cars, trucks, bicycles, and landscaping equipment. It’s all of zero concern to him. Gabe is equally outstanding on the trail. He will ride peacefully in any position of any size of a group as well as out on his own. He walks out with purpose and navigates our steep rugged to terrain like the solid ranch horse that he is. Crosses the deep river crossings, the small creeks and deadfall. He is sure footed and confident. Gabe has a kind and friendly disposition. He has no bad habits or vices of any kind and is good about everything. This seasoned mount has been ridden by kids of all ages from the very young to the very old. Carries the flag the tarp and rides double or triple. He will stay broke whether you want to ride him once a week, once a month or once a year. He’s 100% gentle, sane, safe and sound.
