Meet Doc, a 2020 model blue roan AQHA gelding who stands at that perfect height of 14.3 hands. He has been part of our training program for almost two years, and from the very beginning, Doc has proven himself to be the kind of horse everyone dreams about owning—steady, versatile, and safe for any level of rider. During his time with us, Doc has been about everywhere. He has crossed creeks without hesitation, stepped over downed logs, and ridden state roads in traffic with total confidence. Whether it is winding trails, open fields, or busy streets, he takes every environment in stride. He is also solid and unbothered around gunshots, bullwhips, tarps, and jugs—nothing seems to shake his confidence. A true all-arounder, Doc has been ridden Western, English, bareback, and even bridle less. He offers three smooth, comfortable gaits—an easy slow trot, a beautiful extended trot, and a balanced canter. Show him one day, take him on a long trail ride the next, and let him babysit a beginner rider the day after that—he handles every job with the same calm, dependable attitude. He has even done a little roping and has a few fun tricks up his sleeve to impress your friends. Doc’s arena skills are well-polished—he neck reins, side passes, knows his leads, and is started on his spin. Best of all, he stays the same whether you ride him every day, once a week, or once a month. In the barn or pasture, Doc is a gentleman through and through. He is polite with other horses, content alone, and stands quietly for the farrier, in the wash bay, or in his stall. He will meet you at the gate every time, eager for attention and all the scratches you can give. Safe and dependable, Doc is the kind of horse you can trust with anyone—from a beginner to a senior rider, or even an advanced horseman who appreciates a trustworthy partner. His heart is as big as his beautiful blue roan coat, and he is ready to be your new best friend.
