Dexter is 15 hands of solid, smart, and smooth — Dexter has covered countless miles on California trails, handling steep climbs, narrow paths, swift water crossings, bridges, and obstacles like a pro.

In the arena, he’s got all the buttons: smooth trot, rockinghorse lope, easy transitions, introduction to lateral work, and rides in a snaffle. He has worked cattle, spent time in the branding pen, has been started on roping, and is steady in traffic.

Dexter has been ridden by kids, and takes his role as babysitter quite seriously.  He is strong as a pony horse, and will ground tie/ hard tie/cross tie like a champ.  Good in the trailer, stands patiently for farrier/vet, and loves baths.

❓ So why is Dexter available?
Dexter was purchased by my older client in February. Over the past few months, he has proven himself to be exactly as advertised — steady, versatile, talented, and smart.  His current owner only rides 1-2 times per week, and does not have direct access to a turnout, which leaves him sitting around.  Dexter thrives with a more consistent schedule, and wants to go do what he is good at.  He is a willing, reliable partner who truly enjoys having a job.
