Respectable ground manners, easy to lunge, stands to be mounted, ties, bathes, and hauls well. Has always been barefoot with solid feet and stands great for farrier. Gets along with geldings and mares in a pasture setting, middle of the herd. No health issues or soundness issues. UTD shots & teeth. Moon was started by a professional and spent a lot of time working cows on a ranch. He was used as a lesson horse and the owners young son rode him often. Moon was then sold two years ago to current owners as a beginner safe trail and arena mount. They are ready to move into the competitive dressage ring and he is not the horse for that. Moon has been in professional training majority of his life and is currently at 60 days in my program. He was primarily ridden by a novice 12 year old this past year who took him on many trail rides to Mount Spokane, Riverside & Newman Lake and he didn’t spook once. Moon is smooth and easily guidable. Very easy halt off the seat. He is great on the trail, in the arena and over obstacles. Rides english & western. Ridden off site consistently in different indoor/outdoor arenas and trails. Moon is the same off property as he is at home. Fairly consistent in the contact but is new to dressage work. Currently ridden in a three-piece lozenge eggbutt bit but has been ridden in a shank. Not ridden with spurs. No bucking, rearing, bolting, or biting. Moon would be suitable as a safe family mount, lesson horse, or trail mount. Showings available in person or virtually.
