Sundance is a bright, sensitive little mare with a lot of try. Double registered as both an American Miniature Horse and a Shetland Pony, she is 9 years old and currently in training at Groundwork Collective, where we are refining her handling, introducing the saddle, and exploring the kind of work she will enjoy most. You can look her up there to read more about her! While she can be a bit tricky to catch in larger spaces, Sundance is already responding well to pressure and release and making steady progress as she learns to trust. Once haltered, she leads, ties, and loads without issue. She’s approachable, curious, and genuinely wants to connect when met with patience and clarity. She is not yet started under saddle, but we’ve begun laying a thoughtful foundation. Sundance has started short trail walks while being ponied off one of our older geldings and has taken to it well. She gets a little unsure if another horse is directly behind her but stays where she’s asked and approaches new surroundings with curiosity and try. She’s also learning to carry a saddle pad, practice basic yielding exercises, and build trust through consistent, low-pressure handling. Ponying has been a great way for her to gain confidence, get exercise, and experience the world outside the arena. With continued time and consistency, Sundance has the potential to make a wonderful kids’ project, companion pony, or even a future therapy prospect. She is up to date on basic vaccines and deworming, though she did have a mild reaction to her most recent vaccinations and appears sensitive to needles, so a gentle handler and low-stress vet approach will suit her best. She likely needs dental work soon if she is to continue into a riding or project pony home. Sundance has been successfully trimmed for over a year, though she remains a bit nervous with leg handling. Her previous owners shared that farrier work has always been a challenge, but she is making progress as we continue to build her confidence and comfort in this area. Sundance is a sensitive, willing mare with a lot of heart. With patience and consistency, she will make a rewarding little project for the right home If you’re interested or have questions, feel free to call or text Bailey Stevenson (I’ve listed Sundance on behalf of her owner). I’d be happy to set up a time for you to come meet her! 541-seven seven one-6208
