Rooster is a 5 year old, 14 hand AQHA gelding
I got him as a companion horse for my older gelding and am adding another horse to my herd. While he doesn't need to go anywhere, and I would rather lease him here on the farm, he is available to the most perfect home only.
Rooster was started as a reining horse by Pond Hill in Vermont in 2022. Since then, he acquired an injury and has had some on and off lameness over the course of his life. While I got him as a companion, he really enjoys trail riding, mostly at the walk, but I do let him trot when he really wants to. He also loves liberty and is always seeking a connection. I describe him to people as a golden retriever in a horses body. He is just the sweetest gelding!
I do have his full medical history and would be happy to share with anyone seriously interested. He has been very sound lately, on equioxx when riding, and scoot boots on the trail.
He is the easiest keeper I have ever had and is a wonderful companion. He respects electric fencing and is low man in the herd. If you're looking for a companion horse that can still roam around on the trail, Rooster is your guy!
