Due to life changes on her people’s part, Tradewinds Wintersweet (Lucasia Zodiac x Ryan Day Flash's Willow) an 18hh 2018 model registered Percheron, is regrettably offered for your consideration. Her early years were spent showing in-hand at halter with her breeders and then was sold to a local family where she was extensively driven and exposed to all farm machinery prior to our purchase of her a few years ago. Winter is very well broke to drive, both single and double and in her time with us, we have started her under saddle. She is a very friendly and affectionate mare that will happily work all day when asked; with a curious mind that is eager to learn new tasks. Recently we took her to a local ‘driving day’ where she behaved perfectly, even allowing beginner drivers the opportunity to handle the lines with a safe and willing partner. Winter has all of the makings of a versatile partner with the potential to excel in many different disciplines. She is soft in the mouth and appreciates a soft hand. Winter is UTD on all necessary cares and stands in both cross ties and straight, for farrier, bathing, clipping, etc. She is sound to breed, but currently open. She had a textbook unassisted birth of a very nice colt (DHF Whirlwind) for us in 2023 to whom she was an excellent mother.
