Samson is a thick built AQHA sorrel gelding who has been a personal horse of ours for a few years, and he’s always been the one we can put anybody on. He’s taken care of anyone who has ever swung a leg over him. His kind, gentle eye and extremely calm disposition always made him a go to for us for our family and friends who don’t really ride. Now, however, we’re so busy with Lazy Oaks (thank you everyone!) we can’t give him the time he deserves. He is a super gentle horse with the sweetest personality. He has tons of trail miles all around the ranch and out in the hills. He loves cuddling and being brushed and groomed by kids and adults. rnrnSamson is an old soul and has always been a laid back, easy going horse for his years. He was broke and trained as a cutter, but he put his time in, and we’re hoping to find a more laid back family life for him. He’s been hauled all over, including camping at O’Neil Park and riding in the waves at Imperial Beach.rnrnSamson loves water crossings, and has been exposed to tarps, balls, dogs, cars, tractors, coyotes, dirt bikes, motorcycles, or quads. He has an easy neck rein, a great stop and easily picks up his leads.rnOur kids can trailer load him, wash him, touch him anywhere, and walk him all around the ranch. Both kids love riding Samson and even though their legs aren’t that long he gives them everything they ask - walk, trot, lope, turn around, all while taking great care of them. He is the same dependable guy day in and day out whether in cold, rain, wind and even with time off after a quick groundwork session. He has been ridden by beginners, used for lessons and he has patiently babysat every rider on different trails, on the road and in the arena. We have turned him out on pasture with other geldings without any trouble.rnWe can’t say enough good things about him for a family looking for a safe, calm and friendly horse. He has experience in the arena, on trail and he excels at being a laid back, “come hang out in the barn with me” kind of guy.rnrnMore gentle horses are available on our website, www.lazyoakshorses.comrnrnSamson has been pre-vet checked and is up to date on vaccines, teeth, worming, and farrier.
