I am selling my sweet Sunny. I am moving to another state, and don’t want to put her through the trauma of a move. Sunny is a quarter horse/Arabian mix. She is gentle, kind, and patient. Very trainable, not fast, she would not excel at barrels, but could be suitable for trail rides and possibly WAHSET or 4-H. I recently put my 10-year-old grandson on her for his first-ever ride; she did her job perfectly, but he was a bit scared, since it was his first ride. She is about 14 years old and has no papers on her. I’ve had her for 10 years. I’ve worked with her extensively to bring out her gentleness and patience. She has excellent ground manners, is good with the farrier and vet, and actually falls asleep when her feet are being trimmed. The vet was able to put a speculum in her mouth without sedation. She was very good for a lengthy saddle fitting session, and her tack will be going with her to her new home. I ride her in a bosal, but she will take a bit, too. I took 5 years off from riding her, due to some personal issues, but when I got back on her, she was sweet, obedient, and happy to be carrying me around. She loves riding in the tall grass, is sure-footed, even when she would stumble in a mole hole, she recovered quickly, and didn’t startle. We startled some baby deer, and she never missed a beat. Very sound mind, level-headed girl. She loads and unloads without problem, has been ridden in the arena and on trails. She’s curious, but doesn’t spook easily.
