Prior to arriving in California, this gelding belonged to a 70 year old lady and was her go to horse for gathering on their property. She taught him to stand for the mounting block or a convenient rock. After that, he spent several years on a guest ranch in Montana going on trail rides and hauling to jackpots as a head horse for the ranch wranglers. When the ranch was sold, he was selected as a keeper horse for the family’s daughters in Ca. Unfortunately, the daughters have little time to ride and they have decided to sell. He is a heavy made gelding with more of a cowboy/working handle. He knows his leads, transitions, and can turn around. He is easy to ride outside and handles our urban trails easily. No problem riding into water, mud, sand or down the road with bikes, cars, dogs, and pickleball. There is a lot this gelding could offer to someone. He can easily continue to be a trail horse, return to ranch work, or get him tuned up to go back to the roping arena. Easy keeper, straight forward front shoes/barefoot in the back, no bad habits in the stall, ties, hauls. No current maintenance needed.
