This striking black Mustang gelding turns heads wherever he goes—not just for his looks, but for his quick mind and genuinely willing attitude. Currently standing around 14hh, he’s compact, athletic, and built to excel in a wide variety of disciplines. Under saddle, he is green but thoughtfully started. He walks and trots quietly, is steadily improving his turns, halts, and backing, and is learning to stand patiently on a loose rein. He’s becoming more responsive off the leg each ride, and he handles mounting and dismounting with calm, steady behavior. On the ground, he shines. He is polite, attentive, and engaged—working in hand at the walk, halt, back, and shoulder-in, and lunging both directions at walk and trot with ease. He was originally started by another trainer and then thoughtfully restarted by a professional who specializes in biomechanics and correct early development. His current trainer describes him as their absolute favorite horse in the barn—intelligent, curious, affectionate, and a total pleasure to bring along. He tacks up quietly, accepts both saddle and bridle without fuss, and has a strong foundation that will set him up for success no matter what direction he goes. With his movement, mind, and try, he could easily develop into a standout in dressage, western dressage, hunter/jumper, 4H, or trail riding. He’s not finished yet, but he has all the raw ingredients of a truly exceptional partner—trainable, versatile, and fun. With continued, consistent guidance, this gelding will make someone an incredibly rewarding all-around horse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRjXttNfrxU
