Nevera (“Vee”) is a sweet, well-rounded mare with experience in jumpers, dressage, and trail riding. She has truly “been there and done that” and still enjoys light work and attention. Vee came to me two years ago as a rescue and has been lovingly cared for since. She is an older mare with a heart murmur and mild arthritis, so she’s cleared for light riding only—think easy 30–45 minute trail rides, light flatwork, or lungeline lessons. She’s happy with a relaxed schedule and thrives on consistency and affection. Under saddle, Vee is generally easygoing but still has a little spice! She’s happiest with a confident, kind rider who enjoys quiet rides and good company. On the ground, she’s an absolute gem—stands perfectly for the vet, farrier, and dentist, ties, loads, bathes, and loves to be groomed. Currently, she wears front shoes due to rocky footing where we ride, but she’d be comfortable barefoot in softer terrain or a companion setting. She is on daily Equioxx to stay comfortable during her light work, though this may not be needed if she transitions to semi/full retirement. Vee would be a wonderful match for someone seeking a companion horse or a quiet partner for light riding and bonding time. She deserves a soft landing with a caring person who will appreciate her gentle spirit and lifetime of experience. If the right home doesn’t come along, she will happily stay with me—I’m simply putting feelers out due to recent changes in circumstances.
