Miss Curley D’Oro aka Lucy is available. 14 yr old OTTB, 15.2hh. By Curlin and out of a Medegalia D’Oro mare.
The good:
- in your pocket on the ground
- Excellent ground manners
- Trailers easily
- W/t/c
- Brave over jumps on trail and arena
- Brave on trail and will boldly go where you point her
- 100 AERC miles with 4 LD completions
- Can be turned out in mixed herd
The not as good:
- opinionated! Can be cranky if her saddle isn’t fitting right or you’re too handsy
- Had KS surgery in 2022, completely recovered, 100% back sound for over a year now
- Is a bit arena sour, better suited for the trail or cross x field.
- Some maintenance (Adequan and equioxx for joints).
Lucy is a very athletic girl. She requires an advanced rider as she can be very forward and opinionated. Can go out on the trail alone or with a group but needs to lead. She does offer a small kick or crow-hop when unhappy but hasn’t offered a rear or true buck or anything truly malicious. She wants to communicate so if you’re listening she will tell you what she needs. She is on regumate for heavy spring and fall cycles. Barefoot with scoot boots for the trail (willing to send those along with her). She has been ridden English and Western, can do either and has had natural horsemanship training.
Really wanting to find her the home that she can thrive with a confident rider. Located in Franktown, CO.
