Ruben is ready to find his person. I've held onto him longer than planned simply because I really enjoy him. He has a quiet, loving, goofy gelding personality. He's low man in the herd but will play with other kind geldings. Easy keeper! Very good for the farrier, vet, and chiropractor. He's never had shoes but he's good for trims. Nice big feet! He loads into the trailer and ties great. He prefers to turn around vs back out. Really my only complaint about him. Ruben has a solid walk/trot/lope and is more whoa than go. He has been rode off the farm quite a bit and has been hauled out trail riding. We took him camping in October. He ate and drank like a pro. Stood tied up at the hitching rail just fine. My dad rode him while we were camping, Ruben took great care of him. He isn't generally spooky. If something does catch his eye, you just need to let him stop and check it out. I used Ruben for youth lessons this summer. The kids enjoyed him and he was a solid walk/trot lesson horse. His lope is a little big for some kids so he could use a little work on slowing it down. He's adorable in an English saddle. He's up-to-date on coggins, dental (dentist aged him at 5), vaccines, and dewormer.
