These mules were handled at birth for about 1 week then turned out for a month. At 1 month they were taught to pick up their feet, tie, and lead. Once they mastered those skills they were turned out to run on pasture with their mothers and the herd. At weaning we reviewed lead, tie, load, and pick up their feet. Then they were turned out to grow up. They had their vaccinations this spring and have been dewormed again this fall. Here at Feustel Farms our goal is to raise quality Tennessee Walking Horses and mules for trail, ranch, and mountain riding adventures. We raise a few foals each year and occasionally have started and broke horses available. Our horses and mules are raised on the rolling hills of the Palouse and the channel scab lands. They grow up to be sure footed, capable of handling difficult terrain, and with bone and joints developed to last a lifetime.
