Sonic is the perfect size and age for kids to learn and grow with! I have been using Sonic for beginner kid's lessons all year. From lunge line to walk/trot to walk/trot/canter(or lope). He is a perfect gentlemen for young kids in the arena. The kids groom and tack him up with very little help (I usually lift the saddle up for them.) Sonic trail rides with no problems as well. He keeps up with a big horse, isn't spooky, steers like he should, and has a good stop. The neighbor gal started popping him over small crossrails for fun this fall. Sonic LOVES it. Sonic drives as well but we have mostly used him for riding. He knows a few fun tricks - push the ball and lay-down on cue. Sonic has also been exposed to lots of trail obstacles. He pulls a sled, carries a flag, goes over bridges, & tarps. Sonic is up-to-date on all cares. He is good for the farrier and vet. The equine dentist confirmed his age at 8. Current coggins. I had a basic lameness exam done on him in June when we did vaccines/coggins. Vet thought he looked great and was very well behaved. Sonic lives in a herd and is middle of the pack. He plays well with others. Sonic would be a great pony for kids to start with and grow with. He has plenty of gas in the tank when asked but is happy to do leadline lessons with a floppy kid as well. https://youtu.be/Y58yGdu6wUE?si=QJ5QhN0RbPyxENEj
