Dollar is a 13-year-old bay roan gelding standing a solid 15.1 hands tall, and he is every bit the seasoned veteran he looks to be. This is the kind of gelding you can throw absolutely any job at and know he’ll step up, stay steady, and get it done right.
Dollar is a tried-and-true ranch horse who has been used extensively outside for every ranch chore you can think of. He knows what a long day’s work is, and all those miles are exactly why he’s the reliable, confident, and rock-solid mount he is today. There is truly nothing you’re going to show this gelding that he hasn’t already seen.
In the arena, he’s just as impressive — he’s got an easy, honest walk, trot, and lope, and he is incredibly user-friendly. He would shine in a lesson program thanks to his steady mind and willing attitude.
Out on the trails, he’s point-and-go simple. Steep mountains, bridges, water crossings, wildlife — Dollar handles it all with a seasoned, levelheaded confidence. His first trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards was no different. He walked through the crowds, lights, noise, and chaos like he’d done it a thousand times. Nothing shakes this gelding.
