Tuesday is a sweet, people oriented mare with a big heart and a desire to please. She loves attention, cuddles, and being someone’s special horse. Tuesday is well-mannered on the ground and a pleasure to handle. She loads, hauls, ties, and stands quietly for the farrier. She is up to date on all veterinary necessities, is shod all around and currently rides in wedges on her front. She has been started and shown in: • Western Pleasure • Horsemanship • English Pleasure • Hunt Seat Equitation • Ranch • Sorting • Mountain Trail • Showmanship • Halter She has also been lightly introduced to gaming and has popped over cross rails a couple of times; however, these are not her ideal disciplines. Gaming tends to overwhelm her, and she prefers a slower, more relaxed pace. She has participated in OHSET and a few open Walk/Trot/Lope shows, consistently placing mid-pack. However she truly shines as a walk/trot horse and is extremely competitive at the right shows. She has shown promise as a ranch versatility horse, loves cows, and loves using her brain in mountain trail competitions. She also has the reach for a nice hunter under saddle, or lower level dressage horse. She rides in a snaffle, bosal, and shank without issues. She thrives with a calm, quiet rider who offers consistency and confidence. She is solid under saddle, but would be best suited for a patient intermediate to advanced rider who will continue to refine her training and help her reach her full potential. She has been to the local fair, hauled to several shows, and was most recently used as a walk/trot horse for University of Oregon’s IHSA team where she helped one of her riders qualify for Regionals. She and her youth rider have won several Champion and Reserve Champion awards with the Oregon Buckskin Club, Oregon Horse Center Trail Series, the Oregon Horse Center Ranch Horse Series, Lane County Fair and has dozens of ribbons. She was Champion of Champions at the Lane County Fair, as well as Champion Western Youth and Reserve Champion English Youth, and Reserve Champion overall. She and her rider were Reserve Champion W/T Youth of 2025 for the Oregon Buckskin Club. They have also shown in the open classes at Pinto Shows. She is N/PSSM1, but is easily managed with consistent work, an appropriate diet, and semi regular massages/body work. It does not interfere with her performance when properly maintained and she has not had any significant issues related to it. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate mare with a solid foundation and the potential to excel in relaxed, all-around disciplines, Tuesday could be a wonderful match.
