Dolan’s Fine China (Luna) is a registered Friesian Heritage and Sport (Friesian sire x Quarter Horse dam) Grullo Mare. Luna is a coming 10 year old who stands 15'3 1/2H.
Where do I even begin in describing this wonderful mare. If you are looking for a kind hearted, old soul ride, she is the ride for you! Luna is a gentle giant with endless opportunities waiting for you!
Luna's current resume consists of assisting both her owner and trainer achieve their USDF Bronze Medal, completing through 3rd level. She has traveled through Michigan and down to Kentucky competing and it doesn't matter where you take Luna, she is the same horse and settles into any new environment like it’s always been home. She has lifetime memberships for USDF (1146154) and USEF (5698587).
Luna's training at 3rd level consists of: quality should in, haunches in, lateral work, flying lead changes, lengthen trot and canter. She is an honest ride but is a more whoa than go ride. She is not overly forward and requires encouragement to get the desired impulsion from her hindquarters, but is always a safe and steady ride!
Luna also has limited experience jumping but thoroughly enjoys it. She thrives on cross training and enjoys going for hacks around the property.
Luna is extremely personable and loves to be engaged with people. She doesn't have any vices, ties great, hauls great and is great for farrier and vet.
Luna could continue her path in lower level Dressage or she would be a safe and fun Fox Hunter or Eventing horse. She would be great for Pony Club! With Luna's training and athletic nature she also would be an amazing prospect for Working Equation. She is a very versatile horses, so the opportunities are endless!
