One look is all it takes. Metallica is the horse that stops everybody in their tracks. From his long, flowing mane and his soft, kind eye, to his perfectly styled mustache that makes everyone smile, he draws in people without trying. He is not just another horse in the barn; he is a conversation piece. This is the horse that begs everyone to ask, “Wow, whose horse is that!?” What truly sets him apart is how he makes you feel, both in the saddle and out. Confident, proud, and connected. Metallica is the type of horse that makes you feel proud every time you see him in the barn. He is unforgettable in his looks, his personality, and his moves. Whether you are heading out to on the trail, into a clinic, or simply enjoying a ride at home, he’s the kind of horse that turns heads and steals hearts wherever he goes.
Metallica is a 6 year old bred out of a Gypsy Vanner x Friesian stallion and Percheron Mare. This gelding standing 16 hands high. He is a reliable trail blazer, a flashy mover in the ring, and a bold jumper out in the field. He adores being loved, and his ideal partner would be someone who wants a true friend in their horse. Being braided, groomed, and doted on are his favorite things. He is a kind, gentle, silly goose – with a personality that will brighten even the darkest day. He is a fun horse that has the ability to do anything you can dream up, from the trails, the hunt field, the dressage ring, and everywhere in between!
In the ring, Metallica has three expressive gaits. They look big, but they are very comfortable and easy to ride. He has a great uphill build that makes you feel totally secure in the saddle. He is forward thinking, without being hot or spicy. The perfect amount of motor to excel as a hunt, event, or dressage horse. You ask, and he goes and will stay going until you ask him to speed up or slow down. He is brave over fences and can keep up with all the sport horses on hunter paces and long trail rides.
If a long rein, relaxing trail ride is more your style – Metallica is happy to do that too! We have ridden him on all kinds of trips, and over all kinds of terrain. He is used to loading up and going new places and is easy to haul and have on the trailer. He crosses water, roads, busy traffic, and deep mud with ease. An evening ride with the ladies is always a fun activity that Metallica loves to join in on.
In the barn, Metallica is one of my favorite horses to date. His personality is everything! Talk about a love bug of a horse. He eats up attention and always has us laughing! He has great ground manners and is polite, and does what’s asked of him. He is great for the farrier, great in turnout, and great in his stall. Metallica has no vices, requires no maintenance, and is an easy keeper. Clean vet check on file.
