Athena is a lovely Icelandic filly born May 8, 2024, out of the first-prize stallion IS2015135847 – Kostur frá Skrúð. She is already 13.1 hh with a naturally balanced tölt and a confident, willing nature.

She has had a great start: excellent for the farrier with strong hooves, trailers quietly, stands tied, has worn a saddle and carried a bit with no issues. She ponies nicely, runs free on the trail, and is smart with her footing. She is inquisitive, not fearful and will likely make a solid, confident lead horse.

Raised in a rotating herd, Athena adapts easily, gets along with all horses (and donkeys), and comes from a bloodline known for exceptional temperaments and trainability. I raised and trained her dam and still own her grandmother.

Unfortunately Athena is not eligible for registration due to her dam being unregistered (long story). While unfortunate for breeding, this does not affect her quality as a riding prospect and is ideal for a home seeking a kind, useful horse with an outstanding temperament.
