BlueJay is an exceptional 10yr young Tennessee Walking Horse gelding, who has successfully completed our rehabilitation and training program. He has received consistent, thoughtful handling with an emphasis on relaxation, responsiveness, and healthy biomechanics.
He’s a sweet-loving personality and is a forward-moving, willing horse with a kind expression and a solid foundation. BlueJay is comfortable in a wide variety of environments and has been exposed to dogs, cats, chickens, cars, bicycles, strollers, semi-trucks, obstacles, logs, and water, mud and unfamiliar activity. He ties quietly, stands well for the farrier, is easy to tack, and is respectful on the ground.
Under saddle, BlueJay offers a smooth flat walk, running walk, and canter. He works well off leg pressure and neck rein cues, enjoys trail riding and obstacles, and is best suited to a rider who appreciates a forward-moving horse and rides with feel rather than relying heavily on the
Our invioronent is geared towards rehabilitation included consistent bodywork and Equine Hanna Somatic work as part of our program to ensure our horses are healthy and moving freely.
BlueJay is being placed thoughtfully, with his long-term welfare as the top priority. We are seeking an experienced, kind home that will offer consistency, patience, and respect. Blue loves a leisurely trail ride with some gaiting out as most young healthy vibrant TWH would.
