Freya's Needle ("Dragon") is 16.2hh 2020 draft cross mare, with Percheron, Hackney, and Appaloosa ancestry. She has been genetically tested and is PSSM negative. She is currently registered with the North American Destrier Horse Registry as a Palfrey. She received 90 days of training in late 2024 and was in light work at the trainer's until August 2025; she has not been ridden since, through no fault of her own. She was confident walk/trot both in and out of the arena while being regularly ridden. She does canter undersaddle, but can be inconsistent when unfit. She has shown aptitude for jumping, but it seems to always happen when there's not a camera nearby; she has not been deliberately jumped undersaddle. She does lunge, but is currently out of practice and can be a little opinionated on the line. Dragon has impeccable manners for farrier and vet, and she trailers well. She's easy to catch and happy to hang out with people even when not haltered; she does not have any known vices. She has been exposed to clippers and was not bothered by them. In addition to saddle training, Dragon would also make a good broodmare or recip mare; she is a maiden, but her dam and granddam were excellent mothers and there's no reason to believe she wouldn't be as well. She has been kept in a mixed herd of mares, foals, and geldings her entire life. This is a really nice mare who needs a new home through no fault of her own! Owner unfortunately needs to reduce herd and would love to see her in a home where she'll be used to her full potential.
