Moose is an 11-year-old Off-the-Track Thoroughbred with a solid foundation and a bright future ahead of him in just about any direction you’d like to take him. I ride him primarily western, but we also dabble in English, and he transitions nicely between the two. He’s been ridden on the beach, out on the trails, and hauled to local shows where he handles himself well and takes new environments in stride. He’s versatile, athletic, and enjoys having a job. Moose does require a more experienced rider, as he’s forward and benefits from confident, consistent handling. With regular work, he will make a phenomenal partner for someone looking to develop a talented horse into their own. He has the ability and mindset to excel in a variety of disciplines. A close friend’s 13-year-old daughter (an experienced young rider) rides him and does very well with him, which speaks to his rideability in the right hands. He is up to date on vaccines and dental work. He does require a little maintenance, which I’m happy to discuss in detail with serious potential buyers. He does have a vice of tossing his head when he becomes overstimulated, but he works out of it well once you get him on the bit and focused. With a confident, consistent rider, it’s very manageable. He’s a great horse with a great future — ready for someone who wants a fun, athletic partner to grow with. Asking $5,500 negotiable to the right home. :) Serious inquiries only.
