This beautiful petite 4-year-old mare is the kind of young horse everyone hopes to find — sweet, gentle, and naturally people-oriented. She has excellent ground manners and has been started with a thoughtful foundation including liberty work, consistent groundwork, and respectful handling. She loads quietly, stands politely for grooming and tacking, and is confident and curious rather than reactive. She has been desensitized to tarps, water crossings, flags, pool noodles, dogs, and ATVs, and has also begun trail riding. Her attitude toward learning is willing and attentive — she tries hard and enjoys having a job.
Under saddle she has been introduced slowly and correctly with an emphasis on balance, softness, and confidence. Her training program finishes March 25, giving her a solid start and setting her up nicely to continue in trail riding, a beginner-friendly program, or to develop further in any direction. She is forward but thoughtful and listens well to her rider.
This mare has the personality to become a wonderful family horse, teen horse, or partner for an adult rider wanting a kind young horse with a great mind. Horses with this type of temperament are hard to find.
