Martini is a marvelous trail and ranch molly mule. This mule is gentle, talented, and smart. We have owned her for several years after acquiring her from a well known local breeder. She is the half sister to "Olive" who we trained and sold several years ago. Martini was only halter broke when we got her, so we started her under saddle. She has a full resume: ranch work, trail riding, leading pack strings during hunting season; and gymkhanas. On the trail, she has seen it all: bridges, water crossings, wildlife, bikes, traffic and so on. We have not found any spook. She bravely handles all obstacles and will venture out alone or in a group. On the ranch, she has been used to rope and tag calves, and also used to rope larger yearlings. Our daughter has practiced roping gentle cattle on her. She is cowy and will track up a cow. She has lead pack strings and been around meat. She has helped clear trails. She isn't a record holder at any gymkhana event, but she is great to take and have fun with. Martini is smooth in all gaits. She is sure footed through rough or uneven terrain. She has a nice neck rein and responds well to leg cues. Martini travels well. We have taken her on several overnight trips across state lines. She high lines, hobbles, ties to the trailer, or can stay in portable corrals. She loads easily and backs out of the trailer. Martini has good hooves and is excellent for the farrier. She is also vet approved. She gets along in the herd. She has been healthy with no incidents of colic or lameness. She has no vices. She comes current on vaccinations, deworming and coggins.
