Joker. There is an entire book to write about this horse. To think of a few words to describe him briefly, I would say that he is loyal, forgiving, experienced, and intelligent. To know him is to love him. He is sweet, kind, and has personality for days. Raised in Indiana, and grew up on our farm since he was 2 years old. Over the past 3 years, many of our family memories have included Joker. From camping trips to horse shows to cattle drives to parades- he’s been a part of it all. Joker is well put together with a gorgeous color. Joker’s gait is exceptional. He has a super smooth, all natural four beat gait that requires no special shoeing. He can ride slowly or speed up a little when you ask him. He is fun to ride all day long! He has a true running walk, head-shaking type of gait. He is a confident horse that can ride alone as well as with a group. He has been ridden alone as much as he has with a group of horses. On the trail, Joker is safe, sound, trusted, and experienced. We have ridden him on every type of terrain you could imagine. From the sandy trails in Florida to the snow and ice in Michigan, and all of the rough Appalachian mountains in between. Whether it be a steep mountain or a rocky road, Joker can take you there. We have taken Joker camping in many states where he is used to being tied to the picket lines and adapting to new and challenging environments. We have even ridden him on the beach in Florida, where we ended up just a few feet away from a dolphin. He was absolutely wonderful! Around the farm, Joker has been used like an everyday work hand. He has been ridden to check cow and calf pairs, to drag the fields, move gates, and catch livestock. He is a jack of all trades and is up for whatever task you need him to complete. Joker is also a trick horse. At your command, he will lie down and also sit up. He will side pass to a mounting block, and also parks out. Joker even drives! He has many miles of experience driving both single and double, and will get you where you need to go safely and in style! He is completely traffic safe. From semi trucks to four wheelers- he has seen it all and pays it no mind. At the horse shows, Joker has done many things. He has packed the flag, let young kids ride him on the lead line, and brought home many blue ribbons. He always does well with all the lights, noise, and commotion. He is a super safe horse and nothing much phases him at all. Joker is used to all sorts of things, as you can see in the video. He is great with the tarp, whip, and even the gun, as he has been shot off of many times. From squirrel hunting in the day to coon hunting at night, Joker is familiar with leading dogs, bright lights, and gunfire.
