I would like to take a moment to introduce you to Applesauce. Applesauce is a gorgeous 10-year-old App gelding standing 15 hands tall. There is so much to say about him, I’m not sure where to start. Let’s start by saying if you want a friend in a horse, Applesauce is your guy; he is by far the barn favorite around here. Applesauce has a puppy dog personality and loves all the attention!
Applesauce is uncomplicated and willing to do anything you ask of him. Trail rides, wagon trains, fun shows and all Applesauce has mastered them all. Applesauce has been on many overnight rides, stands quietly tied on the picket line if you choose to do so, and stalls like a pro. If you enjoy a nice, peaceful trail ride, “Applesauce” is sure-footed, spook-free, and takes care of his rider.
Applesauce has a nice slow jog, will extend the trot, and picks up both his leads when asked to lope with ease. We have ridden him in English, western, and bareback bridleless, and he is an absolute saint! Our 14-year-old daughter has taken small jumps with applesauce, and he loves it!
