Meet Duke – a striking 10 yr old Black Roan, Rocky Mountain, gelding, standing a proud 15.2H. He boasts a handsome refined head and is a show stopper wherever he goes. , refined head, st, and excellent bone and feet. Duke has gorgeous conformation and a beautiful Black Roan coloring that changes with the season and flaxen mane and tail.

Duke is sound, healthy, and exceptionally well cared for. He is up-to-date on all vet care, including vaccinations, dental floating, deworming, and farrier work. He stands well for the farrier and is easy to handle on the ground.

Under saddle, Duke has a smooth 4-beat gait with a 12” overreach and a strong, forward walk. He has had 12 months of professional training and 6 years of diverse trail experience across Arizona desert terrain and the mountain trails of Washington state. He is very sure-footed, loves to move out, and excels with riders who understand gaited horses.

This boy has been on trails and used as a ranch cattle horse. He has been with us the whole time but due to family circumstances (taking care of elderly parents) we are no longer riding nor does he have access to the ranch we lived on. He needs a job. To a good family only as this is not a rushed sale but would like to see him go to someone who can utilize his skills. This boy is no buck, bite, or rear - practically bomb proof. He understands his rider and has has 3 yr old - 80 year old on his back. He would be an amazing competition horse with very little training.
