Golden Boy, or better known as ROMEO is a stunning 9 year old palomino quarter horse that has been with our family for the past 4 years. We have brought Romeo on miles of trails including the Texas hill country, hills of Oklahoma, beaches of Galveston. He Trailers well and enjoys new places. Romeo is a social butterfly and enjoys frolicking with horse friends, but can easily ride away from the group when on a ride. He stands well for the Ferrier, does well barefoot, and up-to-date on coggins and teeth floating. My husband has ridden this horse the majority of his time with us, but he is balanced in the saddle and does not hold the reins tight. Romeo would appreciate the same ride and does best with an educated rider who can be quiet in the saddle and gently guide him in the direction and speed you want to go. We have ridden Romeo in a halter/lead, bareback, and English. Although easy going, he can speed up if you are aggressive with leg aids or clench your leg for balance. For that reason, an intermediate rider is recommended. Romeo does well on the ground and leads well and lunges both directions. Requirments: When we acquired Romeo is 2022, he came with an injury that has healed, but does require some maintenance. We do not have him on anything currently, but that’s because we have not ridden him since I got pregnant and had a baby last year. if we were to ride him regularly again, he would need maintenance to keep him comfortable. In all videos (taken April 4th and 5th 2026), he was pulled out of the pasture after about a year off and lunged one day and ridden the next. He is a super sweet horse that deserves a loving home. We will be picky where he goes as we truly enjoy his personality and how much he has given to our family the past 4 years. Due to time and energy constraints with a new baby, he is being offered for sale. We are in no rush and understand his maintenance requirements will take a home willing to start and continue regularly if intending to ride him regularly. Please only inquire if you are serious as this is a tough decision for our family already. Thank you for reading and I look forward to sharing more information as well as the THOUSANDS of videos and pictures I have taken of him.
